ROYAL CAMP, Pushkar
The Royal Camp captures the luxurious nostalgia of a bygone era of royal safari and shikar camps. The tents have been innovatively crafted using the traditional skills and crafts of Marwar. The Camp consists of individual tents, each with a verandah, a bedroom and a bathroom. There is a large dining tent serving the best of Rajasthani cuisine. The Camp is located in a large private site overlooking the Mela ground and flanked by open fields and hills. The Mela ground is within easy walking distance and the town of Pushkar can be approached on foot or camel, through the Mela, or by car along the road. A campfire is focal point for the evenings entertainment programme with the rhythms of the Thar desert – folk music, dances, magic and puppet shows.

The Royal Camp covers the Pushkar Camel Fair, Nagaur Cattle Fair, Jaisalmer desert Fair. These fairs are an integral part of the life-style of local communities and present you with a firsthand experience of the multifaceted Indian Culture. They are characterized by spirited festivities, camel races, folk dances and livestock trading. Musicians and jugglers regale the tourists and pilgrims alike as the town throbs with activity.
